Everything you need to know before travelling to the crater — and if we’ve missed something, we’re one message away.

Check-in is from 2:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. Arriving on an early flight or catching a late ferry? Tell us in advance — we're flexible whenever the domes allow, and you're always welcome to leave your bags and start exploring the caldera.

Yes — every stay includes breakfast made with local produce: fresh bread, fruit, Fogo honey and coffee grown right here on the island's slopes. Dinner featuring crater-grown ingredients and local wine can be arranged on request.

Fly to São Filipe (Fogo) from Praia — a 30-minute flight, or arrive by ferry. From São Filipe, it's a spectacular 1-hour drive up into the crater of Chã das Caldeiras. We arrange private transfers for all our guests; just send us your arrival details.

The signature experience is the guided pre-dawn hike to Pico do Fogo's summit (2,829 m). Beyond that: volcanic wine tastings with local growers, guided walks across the 2014 lava flows, Fogo coffee tastings, stargazing under a zero-light-pollution sky, and live Cape Verdean music evenings in the village.

Yes to both — comfortably. The camp runs 100% on solar power, with lighting and charging in every dome, and Wi-Fi available. Fair warning: with that sky at night, you may forget to use it.

Book directly through our contact page, by email at stay@sodade.eco, or via WhatsApp. Direct bookings always get the best available rate. Need to change dates? Contact us up to 7 days before arrival and we'll rearrange at no cost, subject to availability.
